Yup - I "get" where he is coming from but he is not using any discretion or wisdom when speaking. Even going back and calling himself out - hindsight is 20/20. That's not as admirable as keeping a d-bag comment from going to print in the first place. I find as I get older that I enjoy knowing and seeing people executing wisdom and not being so wreckless with their words, regardless if I agree with their opinion. To be brash, taboo and tactless is not inspiring and lacks sophistication.

True, he was a little over-the-top, and he later admitted to his douchebaggery. I think for being as smart and talented as he clearly is, he has little filtering. He tries to use his fame to influence, but says stuff in the wrong way.

Of course, it must be extremely frustrating to make two franchise movies and be obligated to make the third only to have the studio make a boneheaded deal with the screenwriter to produce unreadable rubbish.

That is called FD&C Red 40 and Yellow 4. You should try the "Natural Cheetos". They are puffs, but they are SOOOO good. And not colored, though they still leave cheesy residue like the originals. And without the yellow food coloring, it won't make kids hyper. :P

That sounds like a winner. I'm all for a fun recovery. It used to be the thrill of the speed of launch and getting the biggest engine possible, but I'd like to be able to recover all the stages. I've steered clear of staged rockets simply so I could rely on finding all pieces during recovery.

Have fun - post a pic or two so I can see how it goes.

Awesome! Did you see that they have 'E' engines now? They are huge!

I was looking forward to doing that with my kids, too. For some reason I felt I should wait a few years, but I can't think of a good reason why we should wait.

The last rocket that I ever build was the Comanche 3, which had 3 stages: D12-0, C6-0, C6-7. It went very high, something over 2200 feet, but the best part was that it was heavy at the start with all the engine dead weight and was quite slow initially and really didn't make it very high at all with the 12 Newton-seconds of thrust from the initial engine. Once that stage ejected, though, it was game-on! It took off like you would expect. It fell really fast (streamer recover) and was barely visible despite being bright orange. I almost lost it the first time I shot it off.

So my next rocket (when the kids are a little older) is going to be some heavy rocket with as small of an engine as will fit. Probably rig it with an extra chute or 2 to slow its decent, too.

Oh, Leroy! I'm sorry to hear about the weather troubles. I'm hopeful things will work out, too. Spring is such a tricky time of year - young plants, changeable weather. I'm sure by the time I'm there we'll all be enjoying the produce!

Lindsay - Jessica totally agrees with you. It very well might not be the Yellow headed blackbird. It would make more sense if it's not - they don't usually show up around here. I'll be looking out for those mockingbird's though. Hopefully I don't get deceived again :)

Ashley, here is a link to the CD that I asked for:

Hey cool, I'll have to share this with Mike. He's totally into birding (watching, feeding, calls, etc) and actually just put up 2 houses for the bluebirds to nest in. It was kinda fun watching the chickadees try to take them both over. They took one but I believe the bluebirds kept the other one :)

Hey! Glad to know that I have a bird lover nieghbor!! I love feeding our birds and watching them. If we have a yellow-headed blackbird that would be amazing but I am thinking it is our sweet state bird!! The mockingbird, which is actually not sweet after all. They like to dominate this area and occasionally get a little closer to you than you would like. They have gone after cats, dogs, and other birds. They also mimic other birds which could answer the question of why it sounds like the yellow-headed blackbird. We have one that sings outside of our window in the birch. He sounds like wake up, if I am akwake you need to wake up!!! Hope this helps, but I am no bird expert so I could be wrong! Keep your eyes out for our neighborhood mockingbird, and hopefully he wont dive at you one day! :)
