I feel apologetic about it – but that probably isn’t necessary. I have been blogging and adding content to the web since 2001 and had an email account since 1996. I haven’t advertised on many of my sites and especially never did so on one of my personal sites but unfortunately that has to change. I have extensive costs associated with running the sites and even though traffic is low – I will be more motivated to extend the content into the media realm with more fun stuff. If it proves completely useless and fruitless and more invasive that helpful – I’ll reconsider. But with two little kids growing up and the extra money needed for them rather than just hobbies, I think this move makes sense.
Also – this will be valuable in that I can experiment with the formula for creating content and generating revenue based on creativity and the options available on the web and hopefully better advise my clients on how this formula can be applied to their own websites.

Cool! Paying it forward. Affecting the world in a positive way, one random act at a time.
Really inspired by this video today. God Bless America!!
Whenever I watch the movie, I feel like some parts of it are so far fetched. I mean, time travel, baseball players from heaven. And yet, I can’t help but think about how many great feelings and concepts are intertwined in it. Any time I have a chance to see it or listen to it – I get excited and let it wash over me. Cool stuff.
I can’t imagine being in Iowa, surrounded by corn and flat land, and feeling so moved, so compelled, so inspired to do something that appears so out of the ordinary. And at the same time, I sort of wish for such an inspiration. Interesting mix of emotions.
Okay, not necessarily places, but states. Thought it would be fun to have a map of all the states.

No regrets here. We wish it couldn’t lasted forever, but alas – it came to an end. It was a good run. Definitely.
I love LogMeIn. If I were running an IT company that provided support for remote systems – I would engage this handy tool and pay what ever it costs (almost). It feels absolutely secure enough for handing most small business operations/maintenance. And the fact that it is cross platform compatible for Mac/Win is lovely too. Although we have Linux/Mac/Win on our network – we can logmein to one of the other boxes and then VNC to the linux box, all while being safely inside the network, and leaving no other ports open for those port scanners and hackers. It is really nice. When I need something from home – it is so much easier to just access it – rather than worry about copying it to a zip drive, and then remembering to take it home.
Lovely. Convenient. Free.
I go into the bank to have a form notarized and they try to sell me a credit card. “Free” notary service isn’t free – you have to put up with sales pitches and advertisements!
