Jessica and I sang Happy Birthday to Paxton this AM. What a sweet boy?! Feeling very blessed to have my family.
Love those kids. Can’t believe how fast they are growing.
Thought I’d throw out a quick update for all my loyal followers.
The garden is going really well. We have 9 green tomatoes growing on 5 different plants. We have a total of 7 plants that have blooms on them so this is very exciting. I have started eating more tomatoes from the store so I can figure out exactly how I want to spice/flavor/season them. I’m realizing that next year I may want a bigger garden, or will be more strategic about placement of all my crops. The main reason is that I am not seeing as many crops as I thought I would. For instance, I have about 100 radishes that never created bulbs but fully bloomed. There were about 20 that yielded actual radishes. I’ll have to read up on them, but I would prefer to have better soil and only get 50 that actually bloom (so it would take up half the space, but have double the yield).
Anyway -its going well – I don’t spend as much time out there as I would like but the fact that the garlic, onions, peas, radishes and tomatoes are all doing well is a true vindication.
Can’t believe my daughter is going to school today. Its just a “Mother’s Day Out” kind of thing and its just a summer program. But wow. My little girl is going to be three soon. Time is rolling on by. I wonder what the next “shocking” milestone will be for our family. Hmmm.
