i just saw ocean’s 13 and really enjoyed it. what a neat spin on things, instead of stealing a treasure, they stole someone’s passion. neat concept and a very cool way of building a sequel to a sequel of a movie. didn’t like 12 as much, and of course 11 was awesome. i’m not sure how i’d feel about the original 11 because i was able to get invested in, and relate to, the present day actors/characters.

i enjoy microwave popcorn. its one of those things that gets done pretty well in the microwave. but what i have really been enjoying the past year or so is making popcorn over the fire. at first, i had to do it over an electric burner (not cool) but now I do it over my propane burner outside and its great. here is the recipe:
a. constantly move the bowl
b. put 3 tablespoons of oil in a steel bowl
c. constantly agitate the bowl
d. add 1/2 cup of corn kernels and cover bowl with aluminum foil (no holes)
e. constantly stir the bowl
f. using tongs, hold the bowl over an open flame and make sure you
g. CONSTANTLY shake the bowl…
…if not, you will end up with burned kernels.
when all the kernels have popped (within about 3 minutes) apply popcorn salt (or use crushed kosher salt or pickling salt).
Its ready to eat and its delicious!!
