we had a great time this weekend, celebrating memorial day and Jessica’s graduation and birthday (and our upcoming anniversary) We grilled chicken, brats and hamburgers – had some delicious broccoli (sp?) salad, baked beans and then topped off the evening with our favorite kind of cake (cheesecake) and a chocolate fountain. And all the while, we had some booze and sodas. I love having those cookouts – what a fabulous time – thanks to everyone who made it and sorry you couldn’t make it to those of you who couldn’t.
Happy Birthday Wife.

I know this type of post isn’t interesting to most people …which is a terrible preface to a post. But I am really enjoying working on the engine and tranmission of my ’69 Firebird. I have been working on it for about an hour a night – and it is enough to keep me sane and interested in it, and also enough to where I can get away from web-work for a while. While we’re at it …does anyone have anything they do to get away each day? Maybe a morning devo or an afternoon walk?

last night Jess and I took the racecar out. something we haven’t done since we got serious about getting out of debt. also, we didn’t do it because it had a leak and we were spending money on the ’69 firebird.
anyway, it was SO MUCH FUN. I was absolutely giddy when I came back to the trailer after the first run. it definitely threw me back in the seat and i got excited when it made the 1-2 shift because it really squatted and took off. Now, if only Gas didn’t cost $7/gal
