i never intented any of my blogs to be a place to review movies, but this one has been on my mind a bit – so here goes.
The Davinci Code
We saw it this weekend. A little late, I know – but we were both busy when it was in the theater. Frankly, I don’t know that Tom Hanks was the best actor for the role – he is a fantastic actor, to be sure, but the character didn’t have the kind of development that is usually required for a Hanks character. Also, I didn’t have the same kind of spiritual conflict with the movie that I heard other people voice. I mean, I didn’t grow up Catholic – so this concept that there is some conspiracy that they Papacy is hiding from us, doesn’t really bother me. And the concept that Jesus could have been married, doesn’t bother me either. Instead, the thought of someone being a blood relative of Jesus, and walking around – now that is pretty cool.
Anyway, it was a nice little journey – a decent movie – that I have seen and now don’t need to wonder about anymore.
Anyone have any thoughts about it?
i am very excited to report that we have a new addition to the family.
no, we’re not pregnant.
we just got another car running that we have been wanting to have working for a while now. The car is not quite safe yet with no funtioning gauges or lights – but we’re working on it. here are some pics of the progress…
